Itinerary

  1. El Muelle – First Stop (Hotel & Restaurant)
    Relax in hammocks overlooking the famous Cerro Cahuí (the “sleeping lizard” hill) and browse the largest handicraft store in El Remate, where beautiful hand-carved wooden crafts are made locally.
  2. Casa de Ernesto – Second Stop (Hotel & Restaurant)
    A lakeside retreat ideal for resting on the docks and capturing panoramic photos. Known for its calm ambiance and picture-perfect setting, this is one of El Remate’s most photogenic spots.
  3. Doña Mari – Third Stop (Hotel & Restaurant)
    A beautiful beach area located right on the shores of Lake Petén Itzá, featuring a stunning dock perfect for swimming and relaxing. Here, we recommend trying the delicious local fish “Petenia Splendida”, a freshwater species unique to the Petén region and prized worldwide for its flavor.
